Passover 2010 - Full moon over Sarajevo
Passover 2010 - Full moon over Sarajevo

As I continue to work on my book about God transforming our lives, and the amazing things He did while we lived and served in Sarajevo, Bosnia, I came across a picture of our family celebrating Passover just after Lydia was burned. It was a joyous time being together again as a family before I had to leave the country again for my mother's funeral. Life was very busy, with both difficult and mountain top experiences. Perhaps you could celebrate Passover with your family this year, too.

Merle continues the Tower house project to add to the future dream of a retreat center on Lookout Mountain. We plan to return to Bosnia this summer or fall when he finishes it.

I continue to provide Biblical counseling through First Baptist Church Jonesboro, our home church. It has been very fulfilling to encourage young believers, maturing believers, and widows in their journey with Jesus our Messiah. I love explaining the two paths of life we can choose - the broad road to destruction, or the narrow, difficult path to life. We can have joy and peace in the journey as we surrender our lives again today into his keeping. By keeping short accounts with the Lord, repenting and receiving his forgiveness, and being filled again with His Spirit, we can live fruitful lives, even through our trials.

Some other Passover Seder meals:

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33
